Henry, Tenn.–Tennessee Education Commissioner Dr. Penny Schwinn stopped by Henry School Wednesday in her quest to visit every school district in the state within her first year in office.
Commissioner Schwinn had the opportunity to visit several classrooms while in Henry. While in the classrooms, she was able to speak with the students and teachers in an effort to better understand the needs of Tennessee schools.
In addition to talking to students, Dr. Schwinn also took part in classroom lessons in Chari Fleener’s kindergarten classroom, Colleen Twilbeck’s 3rd-grade classroom, and Val Godina’s Art classroom.
