Managers Eye October For Patti's Reopening

Grand Rivers, Ky.—The reopening of Patti’s 1880s Settlement restaurant is drawing nearer each day and Patti’s managers are already talking about training kitchen staff.
A photo of the progress being made at the restaurant is posted on the WENK/WTPR website and Facebook pages.
The popular Patti’s restaurant in Grand Rivers, Ky. was destroyed by fire in the winter of 2018 and groundbreaking for a new restaurant was held in July of last year.
Since then, managers have been working hard on the plans for the new restaurant as well as keeping all the other areas of the Settlement open including other cafes, ice cream parlor, bed and breakfast and shops.
Managers said the atrium at the new restaurant is being enclosed and the plane that once hung in one of the dining rooms will be hung inside the atrium soon. The two-story area to the right of the atrium will be Yesterday’s Gift Shop with offices above.
Those areas will be finished after the restaurant is complete so they can begin kitchen staff training and table placement, they said.
Managers said it is hoped the restaurant can be reopened in October.
