Paris, Tenn.—The Henry County Fair is in high gear, with activities happening all over the fairgrounds.
The Don Jones Family was the Farm Family of the Day to be honored Tuesday. They displayed an exhibit showing how tobacco farming is done.
Youth and adult exhibits were open and ribbons handed out to winners Tuesday. Best of Show ribbons were given to Brenda Owen for her asparagus fern; Blake Kennedy for his tomatoes; Betty Oliver for her acorn squash; Carolyn Schoolfield for cornbread, cake, pie and bread; Annalise Roger for her champion beans; Mary Kate Paschall for her painting; Best of Show Youth photo went to Alyvia Bishop; Best of Show canning went to Grace Cole; and Best of Show for Hobbies and Crafts went to Donna Revelee for her gourd work; Best of Show Quilt to June Kemp.
Sheriff Monte Belew got cooled off during the evening when he was dunked in the Paris FFA dunking booth. Other activities Tuesday included the Century Farms picnic, Kiddie Tractor Pull, Cornhole Tournament and dance with the Ray Lewis Band.
