Paris, Tenn.—The 2019 Henry County Fair may not have a carnival this year, but they are welcoming Rocking Dirt Road Farms to the fair along with a steady stream of activities, including several new events this year. The Fair will be held from August 3-August 10.
Rocking Dirt Road Farms of Dyersburg will feature nine inflatables of various sizes and themes, pony rides, a dunking booth and gyro activity. Rocking Dirt Road Farms will be set up at the fair from Tuesday through Saturday.
Several food trucks will be set up at the fair each night, including Rollin’ Snow with their huge snow cones, a lemonade stand, funnel cakes with candy apples, and cotton candy, BBQ nachos and chili pies; BBQ bologna, hamburgers and hot dogs.
One of the new events at the fair this year will be the Food Truck Rodeo, set for 5:30-9:30 p.m. Wednesday night at which 10 local and area Food Trucks will be set up with a wide variety of good food.
Other new events include the Cruise-In and Trivia Night, both on Monday night; a different county farm family will be spotlighted each night; a Talent Show on Thursday night; Butter Making for Kids on Friday evening; Blacksmithing demo and the Paris-Henry County Community Band on Saturday night, August 10. Also, the W.T.P.R. (West Tennessee Players Resource) will be having Pickin’ at the Park each night at Big Ed’s.
The Fairest of the Fair and Miss Teen contests are held Saturday night, with Baby Barnyard on Sunday afternoon, and the Little Miss, Junior Miss and Miss Preteen on Monday night. Entries for the pageants are still being accepted.
The schedule each day is jam-packed with activities, including the crowd-pleasing Woolies Revue, Century Farm Picnic, Henry County Farmers Breakfast by McDonald’s, Demolition Derby, USA Pullers Tractor Pull, livestock shows, commercial exhibits, Pet Show, plenty of live music, cash giveaways, and more.
