Paris, Tenn.—Eurotranciatura USA has received a $150,000 grant that will enable it to expand its Paris facility and the Paris Industrial Development Board today authorized its chairman to execute the necessary documents for the transaction.
At today’s meeting of the board at Paris City Hall, Henry County Alliance CEO David Hamilton reported that Eurotranciatura has received the $150,000 grant from the Delta Regional Authority. He said Euro officials are “looking to add on to the facility and/or add a steel off-load facility” at the Paris location.
The Euro plant is located in the former Tecumseh plant on Hwy. 54 in Paris. The Italy-based steel lamination company has already expanded the facility and distribution center. The Paris plant supplies the U.S. market for brand name companies such as Black and Decker, Stanley, Franklin Electric, ThyssenKrupp and more.
At Hamilton’s request, the board authorized Board Chairman Troy Buttrey to sign documents on behalf of the board for the grant.
Hamilton said the grant most probably will mean additional jobs at the Euro facility, but they couldn’t say at this point how many.
In other business, the board conducted election of officers.
Buttrey was re-elected Chairman and Treasurer, with Bruce Reed elected as vice-chairman and Bo Caldwell re-elected as secretary.
The board also approved new bylaws for the board.
