Trenton, Tenn.–A man accused of murder in the death of a five-month-old baby in 2016 has appeared in court in Gibson County Circuit Court for another status update in the case.
Braxton Edwards, age 23, of Kenton was charged with murder in perpetration of a felony and aggravated child abuse involving the death of five-month-old Maxyn Killingsworth in July of 2016.
A trial was to have been held in November 2018, but it was delayed. The next status update in the case is set for August 22.
Police at the time said that Edwards was left alone to care for the baby.
