Outdoor Pickleball Court Coming To Eiffel Tower Park

Paris, Tenn.–Pickleball is coming to the Eiffel Tower Park in Paris.
Paris Parks and Recreation Department workers have been laying out an outdoor Pickleball court at Eiffel Tower Park and Parks Director Tony Lawrence said it should be completed by the middle of next week.
Lawrence said Pickleball is really not a new recreational activity for Paris since it is played at the Atkins-Porter Recreational Center already. “We have an indoor court in the gym at AP and we have kids play there. And on Sunday afternoons, there are a few adults who gather there and play.”
Pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels that combines elements of tennis, badminton and pin-pong. It’s played with a paddle and plastic ball with holes.

The new court is located on the old east tennis court at the Eiffel Tower Park. Lawrence said the city already has Pickleball equipment at the AP recreation center.
