Charges Of Shooting At Juveniles Lands Graves Co. Man In Jail

Mayfield, Ky.—A Graves County man was arrested on a long list of charges, including menacing and terroristic threatening after reportedly shooting at juveniles and threatening to kill law enforcement.
Kendall Andreason, age 25, of the Pryorsburg community, is in the Graves Co. Jail on charges of two counts of wanton endangerment, disorderly conduct, menacing, terroristic threatening, resisting arrest and illegal possession of a legend drug.
Graves Co. deputies Sgt. David Warner and Chandler Sirls responded to a report of shots fired at juveniles around 2:30 p.m. Friday.
When the deputies arrived, they spoke to the two juvenile victims and their parents. The juveniles told the deputies that they were riding an ATV on Calhoun Street in Pryorsburg. As they drove past a residence, a male fired a gunshot at them from a shotgun.
Through an investigation into the complaint, deputies identified the alleged shooter as Kendall Andreason. Deputies responded to Andreason’s residence and at first were able to get Andreason to come outside of the home unarmed.
According to the press release, Andreason became very belligerent and threatened to kill one of the deputies present. After a few minutes of face to face negotiations with Andreason, he attempted to flee back inside the home. A brief struggle ensued but Andreason was subdued and was arrested for wanton endangerment.
A search warrant was then served on the home and a 12 gauge shotgun was found under Andreason’s bed in his bedroom. A 12 gauge shell casing was found in the front yard of the home and the same type of shotgun ammo was found near the shotgun when it was recovered.
Sgt. Warner and Deputy Sirls were assisted by Sheriff Jon Hayden, Chief Deputy Davant Ramage, Captain Jeremy Prince and Sgt. Richard Edwards of the Sheriff’s Office as well as Trooper Adam Jones and Trooper Brian Luckett of the Kentucky State Police. None of the involved parties were injured.
