Paris, Tenn.—Speaking to a packed house at the Paris-Henry County Heritage Center Friday, Paris Artist Ann Stapp discussed her approach to oil painting and the techniques she uses to create her artwork.
Stapp was the guest of honor at the Lunch & Learn fundraiser titled “Quiche & Ann” and the Heritage Center was decorated with her artwork.
“There’s a lot that you can learn about painting and you never get to the point where you think you know it is perfect,” Stapp said. Painting landscapes are her passion, but she does paint animals and portraits.
“The goal of painting is to paint how you feel about that object,” she said.
Attendees enjoyed a meal of quiche, salad, coconut cake, and ice cream.
