Union City, Tenn.—A Troy woman was arrested by Obion County law enforcement on a charge of filing a false report.
According to the report, Tracey Butler, age 30, of Wolverine Rd., initially told Union City Police about an individual who she said had raped a juvenile. Obion County sheriff’s investigators were brought into the case at that point.
After the investigation was ongoing for four days, Butler allegedly informed police she had fabricated the story.
