Union City, Tenn.–Members of the Union City Middle School track teams were honored for their success while enjoying a pizza party before dismissing from school for the summer last week.
Standouts from the girls’ program to receive individual accolades included: Kennedi Robinson, Best Distance; Kelsey Garland, Most Improved; Marlee Theobald, Best Middle Distance, Best Attitude, and Best Academic; Erykah Dayse, Best Field Events; Ada Rogers, Best Sprinter; Ciera Williams, Best Sprinter; and Kadi Oliver, Best Field Events and Tornado Award.
A handful of Lady Tornadoes were also recognized for setting school records at various meets this spring. They included Marlee Theobald, Emmaline Qualls, Ada Rogers and Kadi Oliver.
Among the UCMS boys to receive individual awards were: KJ Steward; Most Improved; and Kameron Shade, Best Middle Distance Hayden Moon, Best Field Events; Durrell Littleton, Tornado Award; Jacob Arnold, Best Attitude; CJ Lamb, Best Middle Distance; and Miguel Sanchez-Cruz, Best Academic. Not pictured but receiving awards were Tayehari Jones, Best Sprinter, and Kwinton Purifoy, Best Distance.
