Graves County, Ky.–A couple from Mayfield was arrested Tuesday afternoon on drug charges as they were running from deputies.
Around noon Tuesday May 21st , Graves Co. Deputies Dale Mason and Chandler Sirls received a tip that a wanted subject was at a residence on Central Rd in southern Graves Co. Both Tyson Chambers and Caitlin Burgess, both of whom are 19, were arrested on numerous drug charges.
Upon arrival a female exited a vehicle and went toward the back yard. As deputies got to the female they discovered a male attempting to enter a window on the second floor. Both the female and male were detained and identified.
A glass pipe with methamphetamine was found in the male’s pocket and he was placed under arrest. After a search of their vehicle another glass pipe was located and the female was arrested.
When deputies arrived at the jail a more comprehensive search of the female was conducted by Detective Brooke Nelms and a container with methamphetamine was located on the female.
Chambers was charged with; Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense and Possession/Use of Drug Paraphernalia.
Caitlin Burgess was charged with; Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense and Possession/Use of Drug Paraphernalia.
