Big Sandy Spring Festival: Parade, Hot Air Balloons, Music, Magic, Fireworks & More

Big Sandy, Tenn.–As always, there will be plenty to do in Big Sandy over the Memorial Day weekend, with even more activities added this year.
The 44th annual Big Sandy Spring Festival will be held from May 24-25 with the theme “Reaching New Heights”. And this year, there will be tethered hot air balloon rides added to the activities which already include carnival rides, live music, car show, parade, tractor show, mobile arcade, petting zoo, pony rides, horseshoe tournament, magic show, bingo and fireworks.
The parade will once again begin at 10 a.m. Saturday and will be held rain or shine with no registration fee. The parade goes through downtown, where the car show will also be set up.
Other activities are held at the Big Sandy Park and they begin Friday evening with live music from Tommy Akers and Risky Business at 7 p.m. Saturday night’s music will be provided by Johnny Mac and the Heart Attacks from 6-9:30 p.m.
The hot air balloon rides will be held from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the park with a charge of $20 per person.
