Paris Men Found With Guns, Drugs

 
Paris, Tenn.—A pair of local men found with meth and marijuana and loaded guns were arrested Tuesday night at a Paris motel by the Metro Crime Unit.
Arrested was Dylan Oakley, age 20, of Chickasaw Rd., and Joshua David Langford, age 21, of Shady Grove Rd., both of Paris. They were each charged with simple possession of crystal meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, and possession of a firearm during commission of a dangerous felony. One of the guns was later found to be stolen.
A search warrant was executed at the Super 8 Motel on East Wood Street around 8:45 p.m. by Metro Crime Unit officers Paris Police Sgt. Jeramye Whitaker, Sheriff’s Deputy Sgt. Jamie Myrick, and Puryear Police Chief Dale Paschall.
According to the report, officers immediately observed a loaded Taurus .38 Special revolver lying on the bed and a large bag of marijuana and a small bag of crystal meth were found in the air conditioning unit. A black bag containing marijuana shake was found in a dresser.
Officers received information that Oakley had a backpack hidden behind Swiss Villa Motel in a garbage can and Paris Police Lt. Josh Frey found it. According to the report, It contained an ID card for Oakley along with a loaded 9 millimeter handgun, with more drug paraphernalia. Officers also seized $320 believed to be from drug proceeds.
Bonds of $8,000 each were set for Oakley and Langford.
