Murray Police To Conduct Police Memorial Service Tuesday

On behalf of the Murray Police Department and all local law enforcement agencies Chief Liles has invited everyone to the Police Memorial Service that will be held at the Murray City Cemetery at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 14th.
The Police Memorial Service is being conducted during National Police Week. In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week.
The Murray Police Department Honor Guard and representatives from other local law enforcement agencies will conduct a wreath and flag ceremony at the service.
