Union City, Tenn.–A Math Olympics was held for sixth-grade students at Union City Middle School recently.
The top three winners in each class period with Jennifer Bruff and Christina VanHooser competed in the Olympics.
Students were required to answer multiplication facts within three seconds. After five winners emerged in the competition, a category for division facts was put in place to determine the top three places.
The winners included (from left) Marcos Landeros, third place/bronze medal; Indeya Higsett, second place/silver medal; and Allysia Davis, first place/gold medal.
