Graves Co., Ky.–Graves Co. Sheriff Jon Hayden said he believes deputies have identified the people photographed apparently stealing items from a vacant home in the Golo area Tuesday afternoon and are continuing their investigation.
The sheriff’s office posted photos taken of several people who were apparently caught in the act of stealing the items and placing them in their vehicle and asked for the public’s help in identifying the suspects. The photos were taken by the owner of the property who arrived at the scene and saw the people taking items.
Sgt. David Warner was called to a residence on Parker Road about 4 p.m. Tuesday after a passerby called the owner of the home to report a vehicle parked there. The owner lives nearby and responded. He said the home was vacant, but some property was still being stored there.
According to the press release from the sheriff’s office, “Once arriving, they observed a white Chevrolet Trailblazer parked in the drive way occupied by several persons. They then observed and older white female exiting the home carrying property that had been stolen from inside the house. The owner initially confronted the woman and began taking photographs of the woman, vehicle, and occupants.”
Sheriff’s deputies were able to obtain a license number that was displayed on the vehicle but are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the persons depicted in these photos.
Anyone who believes they can help in the case is asked to call the Graves Co. Sheriff’s Office.
