Hickman, Ky.–The Obion County Budget Committee has approved a study for a proposal for a short line railroad that would connect Hickman, Kentucky, with Rives in Obion County, Tenn.
Obion County Industrial Development Board Chairman Bedford Dunavant made committee members aware of funding available from the state for such a study.
The full Obion County commission will discuss the matter at the May 20 meeting. A working agreement between industrial officials in Obion and Fulton Counties will be presented.
