Buchanan, Tenn.—With demolition of the Paris Landing Inn pretty much complete, state officials say construction of the new Inn is on target for completion by the summer of 2020.
With the former building now gone, the vistas at Paris Landing State Park are totally changed, views to the lake now open. But once construction of the new Inn begins, that is likely to change.
David Roberson, Director of Communications for the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, told WENK/WTPR Monday that some demolition work will continue through mid-May.
He said the crushing of the building is complete and approximately 20,000 yards of crushed concrete is being stored on site for future use.
The contractor continues to monitor and maintain erosion control fencing at the site and the contractor is preparing to begin site grading and installation of utilities. That is scheduled to take three months to complete. Contractor for the project is Doster Construction Co., with several local sub-contractors.
The Paris Landing Inn will be replaced with a more modern but smaller Inn.
