Fire Marshal Investigating Cause Of Fire At Vacant Residence

Paris, Tenn.–The Paris Fire Marshal is investigating Sunday night’s fire that destroyed a vacant residential dwelling.
The two-story frame structure at 527 E. Washington St. has been vacant for several years and all of the utilities to the structure had been turned off.
Fire Marshal Greg Andrews told WENK/WTPR Monday that his office began investigating the cause this morning.
As we reported Sunday night, Paris Firefighters were called to the scene and found the structure ablaze. Heavy black smoke from the fire could be seen several blocks away.
