Mayfield, Ky.–A Mayfield man was arrested by Kentucky State Police this morning after a short foot pursuit in Mayfield.
Troopers Jay Dunn and Austin Rampage were on routine patrol when they noticed James E. Blake, age 29, walking on S. 7th St. They knew he had an active arrest warrant and attempted to stop him.
Blake fled from the troopers, running through back yards and was apprehended without incident around 9th street. Blake was charged with Fleeing or Evading Police, 2nd degree on Foot, a Class a Misdemeanor.
Blake was additionally served with a probation and parole warrant, and lodged in the Graves County Jail
The investigation is continuing by Trooper Austin Ramage.
