Bethel Spring Football Game Moved To Friday

McKenzie, Tenn.–Due to concerns with the weather, the Annual Purple-Gold Spring Football Game has been moved to Friday, March 29 at Wildcat Stadium in McKenzie. Kick-off is slated for 7 p.m. A canned food drive for local charities also will be held in conjunction with the game.
Spring football practice is underway as the Cats prepare for the game and the upcoming season which will mark the debut of first year head coach Michael Jasper.
The Cat Walk will take place at 3:15 and will originate in front of Crisp Arena. Admission to the game is free and open to the public.
In conjunction with the goal to support local charities the Bethel University Association of Student Athletes will conduct a can food drive Saturday at the Annual Purple-Gold Spring Football game. All fans are encouraged to bring can foods to Wildcat Stadium to support local charities in McKenzie and Carroll County.  All cans can be turned in at the main entrance to the stadium. Activities begin at 3 p.m. with the Cat Walk taking place at 3:15 p.m.
Bethel student-athletes will be set up at the gate to receive all items which will be distributed to the needy in the area.
Bethel Associate Athletic Director Brad Chappell commented on the project. “We feel it is important to give back to our communities and show our students are more than just athletes. These type efforts enhances their experiences here at Bethel and serves to aid them in hopefully having a servants heart after they leave our campus and move on in their life’s.”
