Union City, Tenn.–Union City’s Ben McMillan and Tyler Walton were chosen for the All-Region 7A Tournament team at the conclusion of Wednesday night’s championship game at UT Martin.
McMillan scored 49 points in a pair of regional tourney games, lighting up Middleton for 29 to match his season high, before then netting 20 against Humboldt that included a pressure-packed 3-pointer to send that contest into overtime.
Walton scored a combined 33 points in those two games. The only senior starter for the Tornadoes, he finished his UCHS playing career with 1,037 points.
Second-ranked Humboldt claimed the Region 7A title with an 84-67 drubbing of Trenton to avenge a loss in the district finals.
