Nashville, Tenn.—Former NFL player King Dunlap IV, originally of Paris, passed away Saturday, February 23 at his Nashville home. He was 71.
Dunlap played for the former Baltimore Colts and the Los Angeles Rams during his career. He was graduated from Central High School in Paris, where he was a standout in football and basketball. He played football at Tennessee A & I State University (now Tennessee State).
Dunlap was inducted in the Paris-Henry Co. Sports Hall of Fame’s class of 2001.
There will be two services, one in Paris and one in Nashville.
Survived by wife, Robin Denise Shaw Dunlap; daughters, Victoria Essence Rose Dunlap (Teddy, Jr.) Connley; sons, King David Dunlap V (Kenya Wyatt) and George Hudson Shaw Dunlap (Veronica Whiting); grandchildren, King Dunlap VI, Kayla Essence Michelle Dunlap, Jaylen Mikell Walsh-Dunlap, Emmitt Kingston Walsh-Dunlap and Winifred Louise Connley; other relatives and friends
