Paris, Tenn.–An inmate of the Henry County Jail was slipped a package of marijuana during a funeral for his grandmother.
On Sunday, February 17th Deputy Hunter Wade of the Henry County Sheriff’s Office transported inmate Nazih L. Nored of 620 Cooper Street-Paris to the funeral home so that he could pay his respects to his grandmother who had passed away. At some point during the funeral, Mr. Nored was slipped an illegal package of marijuana. Once Deputy Wade transported inmate Nored back to Henry County correctional facility a procedural search was done and 7.9 grams of marijuana wrapped in electrical tape was found in Noreds rectum. The investigation revealed that Mr. Nored inserted the illegal package into his rectum during a faked bathroom break.
Deputy Wade is charging inmate Nored with introduction of contraband into a correctional facility. Sheriff Belew commended Deputy Wade for a job well done and stated that all of Mr. Nored’s privileges & visits have been revoked.
