Springville, Tenn.—It’s been a chilly but productive weekend for Boy Scout Troop 28 of Paris as they’ve been participating in a service project at the Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge in Springville. The group has been camping out at the KOA campground nearby, and while at the refuge they’ve been cleaning litter, trash, and debris from the boat ramp areas and clearing the walking trails of limbs and debris.
Kreg Kyle, one of the adult leaders of the troop, said the group also has been helping the owners of the KOA campground by clearing and hauling leaves from the camping pads. He said, “We’re proud of the hard work put forth by the Scouts.”
