UCMS softball tryouts
Slated for March 6
Tryouts for this fall’s 2019 Union City Middle School softball team have been scheduled for Wednesday, March 6, at Eddlemon-Hawks Field in Graham Park.
The session will last from 3:15-4:45, according to UCMS head coach Chelsea Farmer.
Players must bring their own workout gear to the tryouts.

For UCHS baseball boosters
There remains room for individuals and/or businesses who wish to join the Union City High School Baseball Tornado Club.
Three Tornado Club levels are available for sponsorship.
Purple Level — $50 – Includes recognition at all UCHS home games.
Silver Level — $100 — Includes recognition at all UCHS home games and a team-issued shirt.
Gold Level — $200 – Includes recognition at all UCHS home games, a team-issued shirt and a team-issued hat.
Checks should be made payable to Union City High School Baseball.

UC track program
Holding t-shirt fundraiser
The Union City High School track program is selling T-shirts.
The purple shirts with a gold UC on the front are $10 apiece and are available in sizes from youth-small to 3X.
The shirts also include a quote by Bonnie Blair on the back: “Winning doesn’t always mean being first. Winning means you’re doing better than you’ve ever done before.”
Orders will be taken until Feb. 22.
