Occupant Injured, Garage Destroyed In Paris Structure Fire

Paris, Tenn.–A woman was injured in a residential house fire Sunday morning on Memorial Drive in Paris. The attached garage was destroyed and the home damaged in the blaze.
Paris Firefighters were called to 825 Memorial Drive around 6 a.m. and found the garage heavily involved in fire when they arrived.
According to the report, firefighters first attacked the fire from the exterior and then on into the garage. A second line of attack advanced through the interior of the structure to extinguish any fire on the inside of the structure.
Property damage was estimated at $50,000, with contents estimated at $25,000.
A man who was occupying the structure, Quang Nguien said the fire could have possibly started in the garage where he had been cooking and left it unattended.
Another occupant was transported to Henry Co. Medical Center for treatment, but was not taken by ambulance.
The home is owned by Dinh Loan Thuy Thi.
Firefighters stayed on the scene for around two hours.
