Cops & Kids Treats Over 200 Kids To Christmas Shopping Spree


Paris, Tenn.–Thanks to the FOP Tennessee Kentucky Lake Lodge 17, some 240 underprivileged children were treated to the annual Cops and Kids annual Christmas shopping trip Saturday.
The shopping trip began early Saturday at Paris Elementary School where the children were teamed with a shopping guide. Everyone was bused to Wal-Mart for their Christmas shopping spree.
Each child was allowed to spend $75 on Christmas presents. When the children returned to Paris Elementary, they received a bag with fruit, breakfast item and other goodies.
FOP Vice President and Retired Chief Deputy Randy Gean said, “Thank you Paris and Henry County for all your support. Your generosity made it possible for over 200 children to have a better Christmas. What a great giving community we have.”
Participating agencies included members of the Paris Police, Henry Co. Sheriff’s Office, First Baptist Church and The Gideon’s, Rescue Squad, Henry Co. High School DECA class, HCHS Criminal Justice class, Knights of Columbus, and Henry Co. Schools guidance counselors.
