Dresden, Tenn.–Due to the weather forecast for Wednesday night, the City of Dresden Police, Fire and Park Departments will be moving their Halloween activities to Tuesday night, October 30 instead of Wednesday night because of the forecast of 100 percent chance of rain on Wednesday night.
The Dresden Police, Fire and Park Departments extend an invitation for local residents to come to the Dresden Farmer’s Market for free hot dogs, plus activities including impaired driving obstacle course, Fire Department obstacle course, educational materials and candy. The event starts at 5:30 pm and is free of charge. The Haunted Trail planned for Wednesday night has been cancelled for this year.
Trick or treating in private neighborhoods are also encouraged for Tuesday, October 30 instead of Wednesday night.
Trick-or-Treating in Gleason, Greenfield and Sharon has also been switched to Tuesday night instead of Wednesday night because of the high probability of rain. However, Gleason’s Trunk-or-Treat activities will take place inside local churches on Wednesday, October 31, as originally planned.
