Paris, Tenn.–On Friday, October 19th, the students of E.W. Grove participated in a pep rally in which they committed to graduate from high school in 2022. Tim Mason, principal at E.W. Grove, read the pledge to the students to kick off the pep rally. He explained each statement and how it pertained to their lives at that moment and in the future. His speech emphasized determination and hard work.
Mason made it clear that difficulties would be faced in each of their lives along the way, but regardless of those hardships, students will pledge to attend and graduate from Henry County High school or another high school in the year 2022. The pep rally ended with the E.W. Grove cheerleaders leading the banner, which was signed by each student during their lunch period, to the middle of the gymnasium floor.
You could feel the motivation in the air as students cheered and clapped as the banner was presented by Mr. Mason. The teachers of E.W. Grove are incredibly proud of the Class of 2022, and they cannot wait to see this group of students walk across the stage on graduation night just as the classes before them have done. The signed banner will hang at Henry County High School to remind the students of this pledge to graduate.
