Paris, Tenn.–A Paris man was charged with aggravated assault after he allegedly hit his neighbor with a gun.
Stephen Cagle, age 34, of 45 Travis Loop, was arrested by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office Friday. Deputies were called to Travis Loop on a report that Cagle had come at his neighbor screaming with a gun in his hand and hit him in the face with the gun.
Deputies noted that the victim did have a large laceration above his eye, that there was dried blood on his face and blood on the ground.
According to the report, Cagle told deputies he did shoot twice into a ditch and then walk over to the tree line/property line and get into a verbal altercation with his neighbor. He told deputies that the neighbor had hit his gun with an axe handle before they started fighting.
