Union City, Tenn.—A Union City man was arrested for passing three counterfeit $20 bills at a local convenience store.
Brian Victor Macklin, age 22, Nash St., is being held in the Obion County Jail.
According to the police report, Macklin was arrested Monday after he was identified on surveillance video passing the three fake bills at the Maverick Store at 420 E. Reelfoot Ave. on Thursday, October 11.
Macklin allegedly used the fake bills to pay for gas and other items from the store and drove off in what appeared to be a tan Yukon with black rims and dark black tinted windows.
Upon his arrest, Macklin did admit to using the counterfeit bills and was transported to jail without incident.
