Montgomery and Stewart County, Tenn.—It’s Day 6 of the manhunt for accused murderer and arsonist Kirby Wallace.
Multiple agencies again worked all night and reinforcements have arrived this morning to continue the search during daylight today.
Henry County Sheriff Monte Belew is there again today, along with eight deputies and three K9s. The K9 team includes Sgt. Wayne Fuqua and Adora, Deputy Cpl. Stacey Bostwick and Rowdy, and Deputy Sgt. Terry Williams and Droid.
Belew said another perimeter has been established around the Poplar Springs Rd. area, where two confirmed sightings were reported yesterday.
“We’re going over and over the area, very slowly, literally looking over every foot of the area,” Belew said. “We’re hoping we can drum him up today.”
Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson and Stewart County Sheriff Frankie Gray are working with the agencies which have converged on the Poplar Springs Rd. area, which is right at the Montgomery-Stewart Co. line.
Wallace was named as the suspect in two murders and two injuries during violent home invasions in Stewart and Montgomery Counties.
As we reported yesterday, officials are requesting that residents that have game or trail cameras in the areas of Seven Mile Ridge, Hayes Ridge Road, Moore Hollow Road, and Honey Fork Hollow Road check those cameras for anything that might be helpful in locating this subject. Please only do so if you can do so safely. If you would like assistance when checking the cameras that can likely be provided. Anyone who may have captured photographs of Kirby Wallace is urged to call the Stewart County Emergency Communication Center at 931-233-5322 option 1.
Law enforcement and numerous support agencies such as the FBI, TBI, Highway Patrol, TWRA, Emergency Management, TEMA, EMS, 911 Communications, Red Cross, Federation of Fire Chaplains, and others continue the manhunt for murder suspect Kirby Wallace.
