Calloway County, Ky.—Preliminary autopsy results show that Jimmie Craig Taylor, age 54, of Murray, died of a single gunshot wound to the head, according to authorities.
As reported by WENK/WTPR Thursday, Tammy A. Allen, age 54, was arrested and charged with murder and tampering with evidence by the Calloway Co. Sheriff’s Office.
After the sheriff’s office received a search warrant, the body of Taylor was found under a mobile home at 18 Heather Lane about four miles east of Murray. The search warrant was obtained after the department received information there may be a deceased person in the mobile home.
Allen was arrested in Jackson Wednesday after Jackson Police had a report of someone acting strangely. Allen was first taken to the Pathways mental health facility in Jackson and later the Jackson Police contacted Calloway Co. authorities.
Sheriff Sam Steger said Calloway County is currently awaiting Allen’s extradition from Tennessee to Kentucky. Steger said two of his deputies are in Jackson working with authorities there on the extradition process.
