Murray, Ky.–The Lady Bulldogs placed third out of 10 cross country teams during the Calloway County Invitational in Murray. Sara Mathis finished fourth with a time of 11:05 for the 1.55-mile course while Harlee Veazey was 7th with a time of 11:16 and Avery Bryan was 8th with an 11:21 finish. Also running for the Lady Bulldogs were Charlotte Coulston, Disha Patel, Kylee Perry, Katie Grace Arnold, Pearl Davis, and Rylee Counce.
The boys team also competed in the meet with Carter Thompson earning the fastest finish time for the Bulldogs with an 11:25. Also running for the boys were Bennett Cain, Jacob Brown, Grayson Garland, and Mauricio Henriquez.
Sixth graders competing as managers were Sara Beth Patterson, Ella Mathis, Marley Edwards, and Matthew Parish.
The Lady Bulldogs also placed fifth out of 16 teams during the recent Brooks Twilight Classic in Memphis.
The Cross Country team will race this Thursday at McNeil Park for the annual Patriot Classic.
