McKenzie, TN – Bethel University has earned the Champions of Character Five-Star Institution Award for 2017-2018.
The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) selects award-winning schools annually based on their demonstrated progress in pursuing character-driven athletics. The Champions of Character Scorecard measures growth and commitment in five key areas, including character training, academic focus, character recognition, character promotion, and conduct in competition. This year, 171 NAIA institutions earned the Five-Star Institution Award.
Bethel Director of Athletics Dale Kelley said, “We are honored to be recognized as a Champions of Character Five-Star School once again. We are extremely proud of our coaches, student athletes, administrators and staff for this achievement. It reflects what we feel is the most important aspect of competition – character. We represent our institution with the five core values of the Champion of Character as our mantra.”
