Dyersburg, Tenn.—The alleged accomplice in the aggravated robbery in Dyersburg which led to the death of one suspect and serious injuries to the victim has been arrested in Arkansas.
Dyersburg Police Detectives have charged Billy D. Walls, age 27, of Hayti, Mo., with Especially Aggravated Robbery in the armed robbery at Allen’s Grocery on August 4. His bond of $500,000 was set today.
Captain Billy Williams said Lead Detective Mike Leggett and other detectives worked numerous hours bringing the accomplice to justice.
As we reported earlier, Joshua Foster was identified as the suspect in the robbery and who died from multiple gunshot wounds he sustained during a gunfire exchange with the owner of the store.
The investigation led detectives to the States of Missouri and Arkansas. Walls was finally apprehended in Jonesboro, Arkansas on Wednesday August 22. He waived extradition back to the State of Tennessee on Thursday.
Walls was arraigned in Dyersburg Municipal Court at 9 a.m. today (Friday) before Judge Dean Dedmon, his bond was set at $500,000. Walls is being held at the Dyer County Law Enforcement Complex.
