18-Year-Old Paris Man Killed In Accident

 
 
 
Paris, Tenn.—An 18-year-old Paris man was killed in a one-vehicle accident on Hwy. 79 S about three miles from Paris this afternoon.
 
Tennessee Highway Patrol Lt. Brad Wilbanks released the official accident report around 6:15 p.m. this evening
 
According to the report, J.C. Kennedy, age 18, of Paris, was killed in the accident. The young man was driving a 2004 Toyota Highland SUV northbound on Hwy. 79 when his vehicle exited the left side of the roadway and he overcorrected, driving off the right side of the roadway.
 
According to the report, his vehicle then struck an embankment causing the vehicle to roll and ejecting the driver.
 
The accident occurred around 12:30 p.m.
 
Kennedy was transported to the Henry County Medical Center by EMS. An air ambulance was sent for but was not utilized.
 
Kennedy was a 2018 graduate of Henry County High School and had been signed on scholarship to play football for Bethel University in McKenzie.
The accident was investigated by THP Trooper Dakota Jordan.
