Paris, Tenn.—The 2018 Henry County Fair Books are out!
The fair will be held from August 4-11 and the theme is “Home Grown Memories: Life is Better on the Farm”.
This year’s fair book is dedicated to the Paris FFA Chapter, which has been experiencing an especially winning year. In April, the chapter was awarded the coveted “Big Cup” after they were named the West Tennessee FFA Overall Champions.
The fair books now are available at the Henry County Extension Office at 1120 Tyson Ave., in Paris, and will be distributed to other locations later in the week.
Fair t-shirts are also available at the extension office for $10 apiece.
Henry, the fake miniature bull, will be placed in different spots on the fairgrounds during the fair and anyone who can ‘round him up’ and return him to his pen in the Commercial Building will receive a prize.
This year, there will be new events, including a Shootout with Sheriff Monte Belew on August 11 with cash prizes totalling $1,000. All participants receive a free t-shirt and free lunch of hamburgers and hot dogs.
The carnival will be presented by JCJ Amusements the Monday through Saturday of the fair and other entertainment will be provided by Nojoe and Toot’s Clown Circus and Omega Force, Christian Strongmen with an attitude for Christ.
