Marshall County, Ky.—A Paducah man drowned Wednesday afternoon at the Kentucky Dam New Beach.
The Marshall County Rescue Squad was notified about 1:30 p.m. that a swimmer was missing in Kentucky Lake at the Kentucky Dam New Beach. Multiple agencies responded and the swimmer’s body was recovered around 3 p.m.
The victim has been identified as Martin Perez of Paducah. He was 29.
Helping with the recovery efforts were members of the following agencies: East Marshall Fire, South Marshall Fire, Gilbertsville Fire, Calvert Police, Ky Fish and Wildlife, Kentucky Dam Park Rangers, McCracken County Rescue Squad, Marshall County Emergency Management, and the Marshall County Coroners Office.
