The 43rd annual Freedom Festival in Cottage Grove will be held all day Wednesday, July 4, with the parade beginning at 10 a.m. with Grand Marshal in memory of Freddy Wade. At 10:30 a.m., the booths, Firehouse International Kitchen, hay rides, cake walk, water slide and bounce house begin, with the country store at 11 a.m. An auction is set for 1 p.m., with a live band from 2-4 p.m., bingo at 3 and more live music and a cornhole tournament beginning at 6 p.m. At 9 a.m., the fireworks begin. All of this benefits the Cottage Grove Volunteer Fire Department.
There also will be vendors set up at the Cottage Grove School beginning at 10 a.m.
