Dresden, Tenn.—The State Medical Examiner has determined that the death of an inmate in the Weakley County Detention Center in April was due to an overdose of meth.
Danny Joe Boane, age 35, of Martin, died in the facility in early April. He was serving a four-year sentence for aggravated burglary.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation joined the investigation into his death and investigators believe that another inmate, who was a jail trustee, stole the drugs from the jail’s evidence room and distributed the drugs in the cellblock.
