Paris, Tenn.—At a short meeting Thursday night, the Paris Municipal Regional Planning Commission approved site plans that will allow expanded parking at McCartney Produce and another addition to the EuroTranciatura plant.
At the outset of the meeting, everyone welcomed new member Sam Cox to the panel. Cox replaces long-time member Randy Scholes, who is moving out of the state.
McCartney Produce, located at 459 Culley Drive in the Paris Industrial Park submitted the site plan to expand their parking. The proposed parking area is 0.9 acres.
Economic Development Director Jennifer Morris said the parking area will be utilized for truck and trailer storage and does not affect the number of parking spaces required by city ordinance.
Also approved was the site plan for the Euro Group to construct a 6,020 square foot addition to the existing building, located in the former Tecumseh plant on Hwy. 54.
Morris said the addition will have no effect on the ingress/egress to West Wood Street.
In other business, the planning commission also approved a final plat for Hunter’s Pointe Subdivision Phase 4 contingent on approval from TDEC for proper permits.
