Eiffel Tower To Be Lit Up Blue For Child Abuse Prevention; Other Events Planned In April

 
 
Paris, Tenn.—The Eiffel Tower in Paris will be lit up blue for Child Abuse Prevention from Thursday, April 5-Saturday, April 7.
 
This month is Child Abuse Prevention Month and the Carl Perkins Center in Paris has numerous activities on tap, according to Director Carly Wheat.
 
Here is the schedule:
 
There will be a community Stewards of Children Training on Tuesday, April 3rd from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at 911/EMA building. Pre-registration is required.
 
Community Movie Night showing Charlotte’s Web is Tuesday, April 10th 5:30pm to 7pm at the Ag Extension Office. See attached flyer.
 
Wednesday, April 11th 11am to 1pm- Child Abuse Prevention Reception and Proclamation reading at 11 am will be at 911/EMA building. This reception is for Law Enforcement, Departent of Children’s Services, Court Staff, Emergency Personnel, Board Members, etc that work to protect children in our community.
 
Saturday, April 21st is Cast-N-Blast hosted by The Henry County Sheriff’s Office. This is a Bass Tournament and Turkey Blast to benefit The Henry County Carl Perkins Center. There is a free kids fishing rodeo from 7:30 am to 11 am. Cast-N-Blast registration begins at 4:30am for fishermen. Music by Ervin and Andrea Dutton is at 2 pm with the Bass Weigh in to follow at 3:30pm. Concessions available. See attached flyer.
 
Sunday, April 22nd– Maggie Moo’s Ice Cream Truck will be parked at Commercial Bank on Mineral Wells Ave from 12pm to 6pm. 20% of sales will benefit the Henry County Carl Perkins Center.
