Hickman, Ky.—The Hickman-Dorena Ferry has reopened its operations.
The ferry, which many people on both sides of the Mississippi count on to travel to and from work, had been closed since Feb. 23, when floodwaters were too high for it to safely operate.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said the waters have decreased enough for the ferry to resume service and will be operating on its regular summer schedule.
