Union City, Tenn.—Long-time Union City Physician Dr. Robert Young was honored upon his retirement with a reception at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Some 500 were in attendance and with 9,000 babies delivered by Dr. Young, it’s a sure bet many of them were delivered by him or had family members delivered by him. Administrator Skipper Bondurant, along with several other hospital physicians and staff, thanked Dr. Young for his service. Dr. Young began working at the former Obion Co. General Hospital (which now is Baptist Memorial) in 1968. Bondurant earlier presented a plaque to Dr. Young honoring his 50 years of service. (Baptist Memorial photo).
