Paris, Tenn.—The NAPA Auto Parts store will be moving to another location on Russell Street following approval of a site plan by the Paris Muncipal Regional Planning Commission at its Thursday meeting.

NAPA submitted a site plan for a proposed new development at 200 South Russell Street. The development will be directly behind the FirstBank branch site which is directly across the street from NAPA’s present location on Mineral Wells Ave.

Troy Crawford of NAPA said after the meeting the new site “will be a better location” for his business and that he has no timeline for when he will be moving the business.

The site plan will include a 9,600 square foot building on a 1.22 acre site. The site was recently rezoned to B-1 and the proposed use is allowed, according to Economic Development Director Jennifer Morris.

Also approved was a rezoning request from Darmesh Patel for property on Mineral Wells. The property is located behind properties he already owns that front on Mineral Wells.

Morris said the property currently is zoned M-2 (Heavy Industrial). His requested zoning is B-1 (Highway Commercial) to be included with his property that is currently zoned B-1.

Morris said the property is adjacent to the proposed NAPA property and Patel plans to develop it for retail use.

In other business:

–A site plan for EuroTranciatura was approved. The plan is for an existing building adjacent to their property on West Wood St. (former Tecumseh building). Morris said they are planning an addition for office, restrooms and a quality lab for their manufacturing process.

–A site plan for Dr. Joe Mobley of Cornerstone Medical was approved. The plan sought an addition for their building at Tyson Ave. and East Wood Street. The proposed addition is for storage space and will not require additional parking spaces.
