Paris, Tenn.—A teenager is listed in critical condition at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville following injuries he suffered in an accident in Henry County Tuesday morning.
A spokesperson at Vanderbilt said this morning that the 14-year-old from Murray is in stable condition but stable in the pediatric intensive care unit.
The single-vehicle accident occurred on Hwy. 140 near Puryear.
According to the report released by Lt. Brad Wilbanks of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when Brandi Thach, age 40, of Murray, was driving eastbound on Hwy. 140 and for an unknown reason, she drove off the roadway and struck a tree.
The 14-year-old and a 15-year-old were passengers, but only the 14-year-old was injured.
According to the report, all three were wearing seatbelts.
