Mayfield, Ky.—The Kentucky State Police have announced the funeral procession for Hickman Police Officer Rodney Scott Smith will travel from the First Assembly of God Church in Mayfield to the cemetery in Pryorsburg and will impact local traffic.
Officer Smith died in the line of duty when he drowned in a flooded field Saturday.
Funeral services for Smith, age 45, of Boaz, Ky., will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Assembly of God Church at 111 N. Sutton Lane, Mayfield. The funeral procession will leave the church and travel from North Sutton Road to the Purchase Parkway traveling south to Exit 21, US 45 South. The procession will continue down US 45 S to Pryorsburg to Mt. Olive Methodist Church Cemetery.
Boaz is survived by his wife, mother, six children, one grandchild and two step-grandchildren. Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield has charge of arrangements.
